About Me

Personal worlds: designer, tailor, pattern maker, artisan, Luca

I was 5 years old when one morning I decided to bring my kindergarten teacher a top hat that I had made of cardboard and painted with a rough black coat. I guess my passion just evolved over the years.

I am a fashion designer with an aeronautical technical background. I am committed to what I do, I am precise and punctual. I am inclined to participate in extracurricular projects: -Finalist in the Woolmark Performance Challenge 2020 -Presentation during the Avant Dèfilé 2022 and runway show “Body meets Body meets Body” during Milano Fashion Week 2022. - Winner of Pattern maker award and The Innovation main award during Mittelmoda International Lab 2022 -Other minor. Deep passion of the most classic men’s tailoring and in general strong propensity for manual and craft activities.

INSPIRATION

I based the collection on a novel I had read: Il Visconte dimezzato by Italo Calvino

From this text I then developed my own personal vision, more fragmented, trying to tell the emotions and sensations that I feel daily and then draw the garments adding the rigor and technique of men’s tailoring. What I want to convey is the philosophy behind every single garment, behind every seam and every handmade loop. I want to tell a personal vision of man and how I perceive him in this moment through my eyes and heart. I think this is the work of a designer, my work.

The portfolio aims to highlight the sartorial and artisanal aspect that characterizes my menswear collections. I focus on formal clothing but without forgetting the comfort and quality that a bespoke product offers. Each garment is unique and inside it retains its own history that will lead it to last and bind to the customer.

DETAIL

"Bespoke" experience

The scene takes place inside a tailor shop, during the first test of a bespoke suit. Of the client we see the body, expressions. Of the tailor we see the hands, the utensils and only in the end is seen on the face. During the test the tailor pulls the customer because the jacket does not dress well, and in a crescendo of tension the tailor ends with the tearing of the neck of the jacket and the customer, not understanding what happened loses his senses. There are many details of the customer’s face, with which we perceive his mood.

«Così passavamo i giorni a Terralba, e i nostri sentimenti si facevano incolori e ottusi, poiché ci sentivamo come perduti tra malvagità e virtù ugualmente disumane». Italo Calvino
