Electronic/soul singer Connie Constance joined journalist Hilary Alexander OBE on the GFW Live! stage to talk about Constance’s success having joined Clarks as a brand ambassador and fronting their latest advertising campaign. Having trained as a dancer, she was approached by the British footwear brand having posted a video on Instagram of herself dancing in a pair of their trigenic shoes.
Accompanied by a track which she wrote exclusively for the brand, it features her dancing to a routine which combines her love of ballet, contemporary and hip-hop. The Watford-born artist talked about her love of the capital’s ‘creative scene’ and discussed her next steps after success so far. Shoe design is definitely on that list, but until then she will be releasing an EP later this year, as well as performing on the fields of Glastonbury this summer (wearing her Clarks, of course!)
