Graduate Fashion Foundation X BBC Children in Need X George

The clothes we wear are becoming the ultimate way to make a statement about what you stand for as well as creating awareness for a special cause. Celebrities are leading the trend showing support for their favourite charities by wearing a great t-shirt, whilst some of our favourite designers have created limited edition t-shirts that not only look great, but also help raise funds for good causes.

This is a live industry project in association with BBC Children in Need (CIN), Graduate Fashion Foundation (GFF) & George at Asda that gives you a fantastic opportunity to design the official charity t-shirt for BBC Children in Need for 2019.

BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK charity. Since 1980 it has raised over £970 million for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK, with a vision that every child in the UK has a childhood which is safe, happy, secure and allows them the chance to reach their potential.

BBC Children in Need is a really important part of the George business. It is a charity that we have supported for a number of years. We are a principal partner and are really passionate about & pride ourselves in supporting all the amazing work that they do. At George we are famous for our fun personality and we love to inspire our customer, through exciting designs and innovative ideas.

The Challenge

Create one t-shirt design to be the official BBC Children in Need charity t-shirt for their 2019 campaign. The design needs to be gender neutral and age less so appropriate for both adults and kids to wear. The design needs to work on a yellow colour base with a secondary base colour option of white, black or grey marl. The t-shirt will be sold at £10.00 for adult and £8.00 for kids so needs to be commercially viable & appropriate for the charity and for our George customer.

This t-shirt is the symbol of the BBC Children in Need Campaign and the brand needs to be instantly recognisable. This t-shirt will be worn by key supporters, fundraisers and celebrities at the 2019 campaign photo shoot. It will be featured across campaign photos, in the fundraising packs, celebrity pieces to camera, on social media and potentially in the fundraising and merchandise TV trails across BBC channels. It will be sold in over 400 George stores across the UK and also be available on both the George and BBC Children in Need websites.

All the profits raised from this t-shirt will go on to make a huge difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people, and your design could be selected to be the one nationally recognised whilst making a difference to young lives. What's not to love? Get involved now!
