Distinctly international, the fashion design Bachelor of Design programme focuses on contemporary, conceptual and high-end fashion design, using both manual skills and CAD. Students explore the complete garment-making process, developing a design idea for a collection from concept through to production and marketing. They also gain experience and exposure in the real world through competitions, projects and internship with our industry partners in both Hong Kong and abroad.
The Director of Fashion is Stefán A.R. Orschel-Read. Stefán was himself a BA (Hons) graduate of Central St. Martins and a Masters graduate of the Royal College of Art.
Final Collections and Pre-Collection by Final Year Students often clinch top awards in local and international competitions such as Mittelmoda, ID Design Awards, International Design Awards, Audi Star Creation, BENEXT Awards, HKFDA Design Student of the Year and many more. Our graduates have continued their study in local and overseas universities, such as Parsons in New York, Central Saint Martins in London, Bunka in Tokyo, HK Polytechnic University and Domus Academy (Milan).
