In partnership with George, our Official Education Partner, Graduate Fashion Week is proud to announce the FASHION FUTURE HUb.

Fashion is one of the largest and most exciting industries in the UK. Over 700,000 people are employed in the fashion and retail sector, making it the second biggest employer after the NHS.  The industry has a wide offering of career pathways including design, textiles, social media, communications, marketing, brand management, retail management, photography and styling.

Graduate Fashion Week is the largest showcase of BA fashion in the world with over 35 UK universities and colleges on show. It represents the future of creative design talent, which could one day be one of your students. The annual event, held June 2nd-5th 2019 at The Truman Brewery in East London, showcases the work of thousands of the very best graduates from the most influential and inspiring universities around the world.

Graduate Fashion Week and George are inviting school and college students to Fashion Their Future at this year's event.

Students will be able to:

  • Receive careers and higher education information.

  • Experience catwalks.

  • CV & portfolio drop in session.

  • Learn first hand from graduates about their experiences of university and the application process.

The George Fashion Future Hub is the perfect platform to educate your students on entering the creative industry, with access to speak directly one-on-one with key industry experts. There will be buyers, merchandisers, photographers, designers and PR team to name a few, on hand at the event for students to speak with and find out their educational pathway and how they got to where they are today.

Past schools and colleges visits' have found the event highly useful for informing students on higher education routes into the creative industry, as well as an inspirational and fun day.

"Students at Brentside high school attended the graduate fashion show to support them with future choices. Students from year 10, 11,12 &13 attended a day event at graduate fashion week for the Brighton fashion show. It was very encouraging for students to see potential future routes. The event generated a range of ideas for their own work and consolidated the learning experience outside of the classroom. All students thoroughly enjoyed the day and aRE looking forward to the next event."
Colette Sewoo, Brentside High School
